Welcome to Readers

This blog was originally called All is Light; All is Love but I have renamed it Home Sweet Home! to reflect who I am.

Please note the writings on this blog are experiences, insights and realisations I have had based on my beliefs of reality. They also serve as notes and reminders for myself. They are not meant to instruct the reader in any way. If you can resonate with my experiences, brilliant! If not, brilliant!

I have listed these articles in alphabetical order under two headings: Causeless and Cause.

For my current and previous blogs see My Other Blogs.

Unless otherwise stated, all articles are copyright © 2006-2015 Enocia Joseph. You have my permission to copy and distribute articles for personal use only. Please include the link to the particular blog. For any other use other than personal, and any comments you might have, please email

Much gratitude and love to Ben Gilberti for designing the Light fractal.

No Thoughts, Words or Feelings; Just Love

There are no words, thoughts or feelings, just Love expressing Self.

Let's say Love wishes to be expressed as joy. Joy appears as the words that I use to have a banter with Internet friends; as a joke sent via email; or as a feeling of joy for no reason at all.

When Love wishes to be expressed as a lovely walk in a park, Love appears as transportation to get me there, the energy to walk, nice weather, fellow walkers to chat to if I feel like it, and may even appear as ideas while I'm walking.

This blog is Love in manifestation. Love appears as the experiences, the words, the ideas, and the Internet resources to make it happen.

Love is all there is.

The One Moment of Now is Like the Sun

The way we appear to have been "wired" as humans makes us focus on the past. In fact we always seem to be playing the game of "catch-up." For instance, when you look at something you're actually seeing a reflection of the thing a second ago not as it is now.

Astronomers tell us that when you look at stars you're seeing into the past as it's taken many thousands of light years for the light from those stars to reach us.

Everyday I wake up to the same old world. What if I woke up tomorrow and it was totally brand new? I wouldn't know anything or recognise anyone. I would be like Clive Wearing who can only remember music and his love for his wife and forgets every moment. (see Living in the Eternal Now). I have had this experience when I've had migraines. I can't remember anything because every new moment erases the previous one. I can't read because nothing makes sense. I know my mother but when she speaks I don't have a clue what she's on about. I find I can't function in that state at all as everything is meaningless.

Is it our lot in life to be stuck in the past? Does God giveth the present moment with one Hand and taketh away with another?

There is only one moment of Now. From that one moment of Now infinite brand new moments are emerging simultaneously.

The one moment of Now is like the sun sending out infinite rays. Each ray represents a "new moment" without beginning or end. When I experience a "new moment" I'm simply aware of a ray that already exists. However, my experience of the rays can make each ray appear to have a beginning and end. Let's say I meet someone "new." While our friendship feels new, somehow she feels very familiar. Of course she feels familiar; that friendship ray has existed for eternity, silly!

The infinite rays are like the many satellite channels on television. While I'm watching BBC1 all the other channels are running concurrently. Meeting a "new" friend is like swapping channels and focusing on that channel for as long as is necessary. Speaking of which, a few days ago I met this woman at the bus stop. The "first time" we met was on a bus when she gave me some sweets and shared a funny story, which I shared in my blog. We chatted till my bus arrived, then we pretended to part company, again. Oh, the games we play!

How does letting go of old hurts and pain fit into this paradigm. Well, the sun/one moment of Now is actually the one Soul that we all are - Love. The rays/moments emerging from Love are Its image and likeness. Hurt and pain do not have any reality because there is only Love. When I'm tempted to think of old "hurts," I remember who I am.

I am the sun.

I was browsing at the bookshop yesterday. After I'd been reading for a few minutes I closed my eyes so I could be still. In fact, that's how I tend to read: read, stillness, read, stillness. Soon, the shop's security guard tapped me on my shoulder. He said I wasn't allowed to sleep in the bookshop.

I have to admit, I'm a bit of an expert sleeper who can sleep anywhere, but at that moment I was wide awake.

"But I wasn't sleeping," I said.

"You had your eyes closed and it looked like you were sleeping."

"I was only thinking," I said. "Aren't customers allowed to think with their eyes closed?"

He didn't say anything. He simply raised his arms indicating he didn't want to get into an argument, and he walked away.

A part of me was feeling rebellious over the man's action so I continued to read and close my eyes. Then I had a thought: "How would you feel if you were the security guard?" In my mind's eye I saw him standing in front of me. I saw that he wasn't trying to give me a hard time, he was only doing his job as he sees it. I felt immense love for him and felt love pouring from my heart to his.

Just at that moment, the door opened and my security guard friend walked through the shop and headed downstairs. I decided it was time to leave. I also intended to have a word with my friend on my way out. I found him standing on the ground floor.

"Excuse me," I said, "I just want you to know that I appreciate where you're coming from. It obviously did look as if I was sleeping. I also know you were only doing your job, so I'm cool with that."

He smiled and said, "thank you for understanding."

I returned his smile.

All is one; all is Love.

Like a Flower

On the bus yesterday I saw a guy giving a young woman the once-over, which is Brit speak for leering at what the girl did not have on. Then again, who am I to judge? I occasionally give guys the once-over.

Looking at someone you find attractive is rather like admiring beautiful flowers. Unlike flowers you can look but can't touch unless you're given permission.

As I walked home later I saw a single red rose on the pavement. I picked it up, admired it, had a good sniff, then gave it to my mother to enjoy.

My body is a beautiful flower. You're welcome to enjoy it from a distance, maybe.

Insider Information

When I came to the library earlier today I was told the Internet was down. I didn't feel like doing any work on word processing so I decided to catch my bus into town. On my walk to the bus stop my Inner Voice said I should return to the library as the Internet was going to be up and running shortly.

I went back. While I waited, I spoke to this guy who comes to the library to work. He shares my view that every moment is new and full of joy, you just have to be open.

I checked the Internet again and it was back online.

There's nothing like insider information!

Saved By the Bell

So the postman mis-delivered a letter to our address.

My mother opened the letter and then realised too late it was for someone else. She asked me if I could deliver the letter to the correct address and apologise on her behalf. I said I wasn't sure where the road was. I could have checked up the address but I wasn't too keen on the idea. Mum said she was sure her friend in the neighbourhood lived on that road. She suggested I leave the letter behind, and she would phone her friend to confirm.

I went to catch my bus into town. Who should I see waiting for the bus but the same woman my mother was going to call. She was able to confirm that she lived on the same road as the addressee of the mis-delivered letter.

As my mother wasn't aware I'd spoken to her friend while I was out, she telephoned her friend later. It turned out her friend lived next door to the addressee of the mis-delivered letter. Mum's friend offered to collect the letter and delivered it to her neighbour.

I guess it made no difference how the letter got delivered as long as it got delivered. At least "I" as Enocia didn't have to do it; the Universal "I" worked through another instrument.

Only one "I" exists.

House of Mirrors

"Everything comes from Intelligence. There is nothing but Unity; there is nothing but Freedom; there is nothing but Completeness; there is nothing but Totality." The Science of Mind, Ernest Holmes
Have you ever visited a House of Mirrors at an amusement park? It is a building filled with mirrors that reflect distorted images of yourself. Some mirrors make you look extremely tall with arms like tentacles; some make you look huge; some make you look skinny; some make you look flat; some make you look round; etc. Other distortions in the House of Mirrors include uneven floors that give you the false impression that you're sliding.

While distorted mirrors in the House of Mirrors make me appear in many funny shapes and sizes, they cannot change who I am. In other words, I am the same before I walk into the House of Mirrors, I am the same while I am experiencing distorted reflections of myself, and I am the same when I walk out of the House of Mirrors. The only thing I get out of the House of Mirrors is lots of laughter.

The three Dimensional reality we are experiencing called Earth is like a House of Mirrors and its nature is distortion. I am meant to enjoy it for what it is while staying focused on my identity as the eternal, unchanging, and one Infinite Self being expressed from my unique perspective. When I mistake the distortions for who I am, I am looking for trouble. And the rest, as they say, is madness.

Despite the fact that I have been mesmerised by the House of Mirrors on many occasions, a part of me has never forgotten my true identity. My mother tells me when I was a child I used to tell anyone who would listen: "I am a clever girl; I am a beautiful girl." Well, I happen to agree with my "younger" self.

Not only am I a clever girl, I am cleverness, brilliance, intelligence, light, wisdom, creativity, ingenuity, awareness, wit, truth, inspiration, imagination, excellence...and much more.

Not only am I a beautiful girl, I am beauty, symmetry, perfection, harmony, wholeness, love, goodness, wonder, life, being, oneness...and much more.

Do you find my brilliance intimidating? Does my confidence irritate you? Do you mumble to yourself: "Who does she think she is thinking she's all that?" Let me reflect the same question back at you: "Who do YOU think you are thinking you're not all that?"

For crying out loud, you're in a House of Mirrors! Lighten up! Have a good laugh at the distorted reflections you have come to believe you are. Roar at your flat body. Howl at your long neck and your ridiculously large head. Go on, have a good laugh. Have you had a bellyful? Let me remind you of something:

The brilliance that I am, you are.
The beauty that I am, you are.

Each of us is the fullness of God in expression in every moment. If you ever have a moment when you forget who you are, treat it as a House of Mirrors moment and have a good chuckle. Then remember who you are: you are the same who walked into the House of Mirrors, you are the same for the duration of your visit, and will remain the same when you leave the House of Mirrors. In other words, you are always perfect no matter what.

It is impossible for the House of Mirrors to change my identity.

I am Brilliance.

Of Course People Care!

I was on another bus ride. I looked outside and noticed this woman walking beside the bus. All of a sudden she tripped and fell. Four pairs of hands immediately lifted her back on her feet.

That experience challenged a recent article I'd read about how motorists ignored a girl who had been injured in a hit-and-run accident.

In my reality, people always care because Love is all there is.

Peace and Love,

Yesterday I saw this young man on the bus with the following words at the back of his T-shirt:

"Born Dead."

I believe true life is when you realise that you don't have a life, you are life. Otherwise, you are born dead and walking dead.

I am life.

Yesterday I carried a cardigan in a plastic carrier bag just in case it got cooler.

During my bus ride home, a young girl sat beside me. While her mother was swapping seats so she could sit near us, some grocery fell out of her carrier bag; presumably, there was a hole in the bag. I gave her my carrier bag and put on my cardigan as it was getting cooler.

There's only one of us in this game called life. When one is blessed all is blessed.

With love,

Memory Recall

"Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass." (Psalm 37: 4-5)
A few days ago, I watched part of the film, Sister Act 2 on television. There was one girl I recognised who is now a famous RnB singer, but I couldn't remember her name. I figured I would find out at the end of the film. When the credits started to roll, they went too fast and I missed her name. Oh well, her name will pop up at some point.

This is how the singer's name popped up yesterday.

While I was waiting for a bus, a car drove by blaring the song "Family Affair" by the RnB singer, Mary J Blige, which I love. I hummed it to myself. In one of my buses, I noticed Friday's "Metro" newspaper on the seat. I grabbed it and had a browse. There was a "60 Second Interview" with Mary J Blige. The intro reads:

"'Queen of Hip Hop and Soul' Mary J Blige has worked with P Diddy, Lauryn Hill and Elton John."
Aha, that's the name of the singer in the film I saw the other day: Lauryn Hill! Thank you Universe for reminding me.

How's this for another excellent reminder. I'm currently working in another library as I write this piece. Someone has dumped the same newspaper on a desk close to where I am working. That was how I was able to quote what was on the newspaper. How brilliant is that!

Last night I watched MTV Base, a music channel that shows RnB and Hip Hop videos. I haven't watched any of the music channels in many months. The first video that came on was "Family Affair" by Mary J Blige. Wonderful! Love it!

The Universe has Her own way of working things out, all I have to do is trust.

With love,

Thought for the Day

A few weeks ago I broke a habit of a lifetime: I started carrying my rucksack over my left shoulder instead of my right. It feels very normal as if I've always carried it on my left.

This can only mean one thing:

I've finally realised I am arm-bidextrous.

Faith Without Works is Dead

"Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

"For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also." (James 2: 19-20; 26)
For me, the spiritual path is realising that Love is all there is, therefore, right where I am is Infinite Love. Realisation is the first step but if I don’t apply this principle to life, it is as useful as a pogo stick is to a giraffe.

A few days ago I got chatting to this guy on the bus. He asked me what I was doing the next day, which was Sunday. I said I didn't have any plans and I'll have to see what I'm inspired to do. He said he was going to church and spending time with his nephew. He said he was an evangelical Christian. He asked me if I went to church. I said I didn't belong to any religion but I believed in God.

He also told me he was training for his 5 day trek to Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for some charity. I told him I once met someone who had taken the same trip and I would love to do it some day. My friend said he was worried about altitude sickness. I said he needn’t suffer from it as it’s only a belief. He said the human body is not designed for altitude and it can affect the body in different ways.

One thing that was quite evident was he didn’t believe in God. I know he’s a Christian and he "believes" in God, but a true believer knows that God is omnipresent Love. And where there is Love there is no fear; where there is Love there is no room for altitude sickness.

I wished my friend well and we parted company.

Believing in God is one thing but without works, i.e. acting in accordance with that belief, your faith is dead. Faith with works is being constantly aware that I am always walking in Love.

About an hour ago when I was waiting for a bus I felt one shoulder itching. I didn’t wonder what it was or whether I was sensitive to discordant thoughts; instead, I centred myself in the truth that "Love is all there is," and the itching stopped instantly.

I walk in Love.
Love is all there is.

Perfect Weather

Weather forecasters love waxing lyrical about the weather, don't they? "It's a scorcher!" a "heat wave," "humid," "gloomy," "windy," etc etc.

When you live with the awareness that Love is all there is, the weather is always perfect because Love is constant. It's only when you start to analyse the weather by focusing on an aspect that you make your experiences of the weather either pleasant or painful. By this I mean, when you focus on the heat, what happens is you feel hotter because you're really calling on more heat. You could pretend it's cold, then you'll attract to you experiences of cold such as breeze, which will give you the impression that you're feeling cool, while everyone is sweating.

However, when you know Love is all there is, you find you're neither thinking of cold nor heat but just enjoying every moment as it is.

I don't care what the weatherman says, every moment is perfect.

The Love is All There Is Detonator

Yesterday when I got home I noticed my mother was coughing; she seemed worse than the night before. She was still taking the honey and lemon remedy she'd prepared. As I respect her beliefs I didn't say anything. When she went to bed she coughed non-stop.

Now, since I've been walking the "spiritual path" I've mastered the art of sleeping with the light on, sleeping with the television blaring away, watching television with my eyes closed though some might call it sleeping, sleeping with music on, sleeping with people chatting around me, sleeping on the bus, sleeping in museums, sleeping in the park and more sleeping. But one thing I haven't mastered is sleeping while someone is coughing around me. I mean it's not natural. So every time I felt myself falling asleep my mum's coughing woke me up.

As I love playing with light and energy I had circled her with love but that wasn't doing the trick. After I'd been awake for a few hours, I decided it was now time to take some drastic action. So, in thought I repeated "Love is all there is" for about half a minute until my mother's coughing ceased. I also felt myself being "embraced" by this powerful force which I believe is love, and I was one with the power. I fell asleep soon after. At some point I woke up and listened out for my mother but she was still sleeping. I asked her how she was this morning and she said she felt a lot better.

When I think or say "Love is all there is," I'm literally saying there is only love. I don't try to reason how Love works, I just know Love is everything. Then the Love that is present "comes to life" and does what Love does best, bringing harmony to all.

You hear about people who have such strong beliefs that they strap bombs to themselves, detonate the bombs, and bring mayhem and destruction where they are. "Love is all there is" is like a detonator that one can carry around. Wherever you are, you release the thought knowing that it is the truth, and observe as Love is "released" bringing harmony to all around you in Love's own way. Imagine what the world would be like when more and more people consciously use the "Love is all there is" detonator.

Love is all there is.

Grace in Action

Last night I watched a documentary on television that cited several major cities under threat of flooding and other "natural disasters" due to "global warming." Scientific experts predicted how long it would take for this to happen.

The knee-jerk reaction is to ask: When are people going to realise that if you project something like a disaster to some future time, you're going to "create" what you expect to happen? Is there any point writing more articles about how thoughts, beliefs and expectations "create" reality, albeit a dream reality? Besides, there are thousands of articles on the Internet already, zillions of books in print and being printed, about the same old stuff. Even if you are open to these ideas, it takes discipline to break out of the habit of focusing your attention away from what you don't want, to being focused on the love that you are.

As I watched the programme, I realised that the world doesn't need new teachings, nor does the world need more love as we're already "swimming" in the stuff. What the world needs is people who are able to activate this love that is already present. In other words, what the world needs is the practise of forgiveness.

When someone has done you an injury and you excuse or pardon the person's behaviour, and love regardless, it is believed you are practising forgiveness. There is another kind of forgiveness that is just as important and badly needed - Grace in action.

Let's say for argument's sake you have the belief that if you put your hand in the fire you're going to get burnt. Imagine you have a young son and you tell him not to put his hand in the fire or on something hot. At first he doesn't listen and rests his fingers on a hot stove. He gets burnt. You give him lots of love and attention and try to soothe the injury as best as you can. You remind him not to put his hand on the stove again.

The next day you keep an eye on your son while you're cooking. As soon as your back is turned he's laid his fingers on the hot stove. Again, you give him lots of love and cuddles and try to soothe his injury.

Imagine that your son keeps repeating the same old mistake. How long are you going to continue to love him without wanting to let his fingers fry just to teach him a lesson?

When you continue to love your son and care for him without blaming him for not listening to your advice, you're practising Grace in action.

The makers of that documentary are like the boy who keeps burning himself. You could argue that they're not aware of how their thoughts and beliefs create dreams of disasters and the likes. Regardless of their beliefs, the last thing anyone needs is judgment. Easier said than done. It's so easy to point a finger of blame on another. Why can't they see what they're doing? Why can't they see things my way? Forgiveness, Grace in action, is about loving no matter what because it is our nature to love. We are Love. We then trust in Love to meet immediate needs and to help people wake up to who they are as Love.

Speaking of Grace in action, yesterday my mother, who I live with, asked me to buy her a lemon from the local shop. She needed it to prepare some lemon and honey cold remedy. Was she expecting a cold? By yesterday evening, she was coughing and looking miserable. Last night she was coughing so hard I was awake half of the night. Now, I could have reminded my mother how she had been expecting to be sick and she got her wish fulfilled. We've had lots of discussions based on ideas from books she's read and her religious beliefs about how you experience what you focus on. However, it takes constant vigilance for these ideas to become part of one's reality. All I can do is to love her. During the night I projected light from my heart to surround her. I then left it up to Love to do the work. This morning she asked me to buy her another lemon so she could make her tried and tested remedy. She also said she intends to prepare some soup which she believes will help her.

Incidentally, in today's front page of the "Daily Mail" is the following headline: "Does Nobody Care Anymore?" The story is about a girl who was injured in a hit and run accident.

"As the car that had hit her sped away, the badly injured little girl tried to crawl towards the safety of the kerb.

"Seconds later another car appeared. But the driver did not stop to help. He simply drove around her.

"Then another. And another. Eight-year-old Cait Atkins was left screaming in the road with a broken leg. Last night, as she lay in hospital, police expressed horrified astonishment that so many drivers had failed to stop." Daily Mail
One could blame the drivers for not stopping and leaving the injured girl on the pavement. One could even question the newspaper's agenda. It is not my place to judge people's behaviour. I see this as an opportunity to practise Grace in action.

And while I'm forgiving others, I do not leave myself out. I love myself for who I am now.

The world needs more people who are awake to their nature as infinite Love that love without judgment, and trust in Love to unfold as appropriate. And as we love others they awaken to their nature as love.

I am Love,

The Present Moment

Everything I need is available in the present moment, however, the moment is not mine alone but for all to share. All I have to do is be aware of what is present.

The other day a friend posted a fractal in a forum. My response was: "What came up for me when I saw this fractal was laughter." My friend responded by posting excerpts from Walter Lanyon's book called The Laughter of God. After reading the excerpts I read a friend's email where he shared a dream he had a few days ago:

I had beautiful dream by Saturday evening around 4pm. In the dream, I was hearing a devotional song about Lord Muruga. While I was hearing, suddenly I came out of the body very easily. After coming out it was joyful, wonderful, cannot be expressed by words. I dived twice, went up very fast, and slowly came to my body. When I came to my body, I had some feeling in my hand and some other parts. When I came out of the body, I had the following thought: "Oh God! I did not do any practice, I did not do any rituals, how come you are giving me this beautiful experience?" As soon as I came to my body I woke up and conveyed my gratitude to God.
My response was:

My dear friend, none of your rituals will ever reveal God; only God reveals God. It's something I've also realised.

ps: you might find this interesting.

"The glorious laughter rolled on , searching the very joints and marrow of me—dislodging every belief in fear, sickness, or age. As it swept over me and through me and round about me, I was amazed at the wonder of it-the fierce, terrible thing which was at the same time so beautiful and free. The wonder of it kept singing through my soul as veil after veil of belief was rent asunder and new kingdoms stood revealed. The whole thing was as if one just saw a little deeper, as one looks through the surface reflection on a river and sees the pebbles and shells below, that was all; only the Laughter made this possible, for it cleared away all the effort and straining which in it’s attempt to see God had been halted at the reflection on the surface, instead of gazing into the limpid, glorious depth of Infinity." The Laughter of God
As you can see, what my friend in America had posted in the forum was very relevant for my friend in India.

There is only one moment of Now and that moment is shared by all. All I have to do is pay attention and act as I'm inspired to act in the moment.

Love Has No Limits

The world would have you believe that in order to make a difference you have to raise millions of Pounds or in whatever currency you use. While money can be very helpful, you could change the world with as little as 50 pence.

Let's say I went to the Internet with 50 pence, which buys me 1 hour and I write a piece sharing my experience. Someone finds it uplifting and forwards it to other friends who love it and so it continues. Potentially, that 50 pence has become limitless. Not only is that 50 pence limitless it is timeless because that one article can stay on the Internet forever or as long as the Internet exists.

Two days ago I went for a walk in St James's Park. I saw a beautiful pelican preening itself. It didn't seem to mind people getting close clicking on their mobile phone cameras. Someone beside me said he was going to email the photograph to a friend to show he's actually seeing a pelican in the wild live. Imagine, that one picture could be posted on the Internet and everyone who has access to the Internet could see it. In that respect that one moment is lasting for eternity.

Technology is challenging our notion of wealth. You don't have to have millions of Pounds to touch people's lives. One email can do a lot more than thinking of raising millions.

We are Love and Love has no limits.

Let us share who we are now!
