Back to the Drawing Board

Well, well, well...

So, you thought forensics was so full proof. You thought you had it all figured out, didn't you forensic scientists. You only need to get samples from the scene of a crime, for example, and you can tell from the DNAs who has committed the crime. You didn't bank on the possibility that some people passing off as humans are chimeras with two sets of DNAs, "a mixture of two individuals...fused in the womb."

In one case I saw in a documentary last night, there was a baby chimera who was a hermaphrodite, apparently a combination of a male and female twins fused in the same body.

How many people are chimeras is anybody's guess.

Hmmm! I wonder if they are going to find hybrids of people who are half Martians and half Venusians.

Sorry forensic scientists, you have to go back to the drawing board! In other words, it's time to rethink your beliefs about genetics and DNA.
