The Causeless Realm and Why I Love Mary Poppins

"Ohh! Why do you always complicate things that are really quite simple?" Mary Poppins
For a long while I've been straddling two paradigms or models of reality: cause and causeless. I know that Reality is causeless but I've been leaning more into the cause because of habit. In order to experience the causeless as my dominant reality I have to focus on that reality. Focusing on the causeless does not mean a new reality/realm is going to be revealed; in fact, the causeless realm already exists now. Nor does it mean that the cause reality will be erased. The cause reality will still be experienced by those who are focused on that paradigm.

What do I mean by cause and causeless paradigms? Right here and now we already have infinite love, peace, joy, wisdom, energy, goodness and abundance yet it doesn't seem that way. When you focus on a paradigm of cause you believe all things have a First Cause. Only when you are at one with the First Cause do you have access to limitless love, peace, wisdom etc.

As to the causeless paradigm? Have you ever observed leaves moving on trees? Everywhere you look you see flowers and leaves blowing about but you can't tell exactly where the wind is coming from. It seems to be here, there, everywhere and nowhere. The causeless realm is like that. It is present and yet it is hidden away. The causeless realm pervades all things and yet it doesn't seem to be in anything.

My favourite film of all time is Mary Poppins which I believe is a perfect demonstration of the causeless realm. Mary Poppins is like the wind; you're not really sure where she's from. In the film she arrives when the wind changes, and she leaves when the wind changes. In the world of Mary Poppins things are never as they appear. When Mary Poppins accepts employment as nanny to the Banks children she appears to be carrying an empty carpetbag, yet she takes out a hat stand, a mirror and a tape measure. Michael Banks says to her "There-- but there was nothing in it [bag]." Mary Poppins replies: "Never judge things by their appearance. Even carpetbags. I'm sure I never do." This is why I adore Mary Poppins because she lives in a world of the unseemly, the unfathomable, the unexpected, magic. The world of the unseen comes to life whenever she's around.

Incidentally, two days ago on my walk home through our neighbourhood I heard some kids singing: "Supercalifragilistic- expialidocious..." I stopped and told them the song was from the film, Mary Poppins. They stopped singing and stared at me. As I was walking away I heard them giggling.

Yesterday while I was waiting for a bus, I noticed these two young women. They were speaking using jargons I couldn't understand. Then one of them burst into a song "Chim chiminy, chim chiminy chim chim cheroo." Wow! That's another song from Mary Poppins. On the bus I sat near this woman who was reading a newspaper. She turned a page and I noticed the news headline read: Wooden Leg. There is a joke in Mary Poppins about a wooden leg as follows:

Bert:

Speaking of names, I know a man with a wooden leg named Smith.

Uncle Albert:

What's the name of his other leg? Wasn't that funny? What's the name of his other--
Mary Poppins believes life is simple but we complicate things. In the same regard we complicate things by believing that we have to do such and such to experience peace, love, joy etc. The simplest way to enjoy joy is to know that it already exists and call it forth. Believe me, you're immediately flooded with joy. Don't ask me how this works, I just know it does. I've experienced it many times. There is a kind of peace that I experience that feels like I'm wrapped up in a blanket of peace. This peace is so tangible it's like everything in the room is emanating peace. How do I experience that peace? I just call it forth and experience it.

Imagine living in a reality where you can just call things forth because you know they are already there. Why try to understand truth to have peace when you can just call it forth. It's not complicated at all.

We already live in a causeless realm right now. It seems hidden from us because we are not conscious of it. All we need to do is realise it is present and call what we need to come forth.

With love,
Enocia
